About the Event

Blue Line Adventure: Backcountry Wild Trout Fishing with Brian Ross

Join Girls Who Fly Fish and Brian Ross for an advanced backcountry fly fishing adventure in the Great Smoky Mountains.

This small-group outing is designed for anglers who are comfortable with fly fishing and are looking to experience high-elevation wild trout water beyond the beaten path. We'll meet at 8:00 AM at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center Park & Ride, then carpool into the park before hiking to a remote mountain stream.

Along the way, Brian will share his knowledge of Smoky Mountain ecology, backcountry travel, stream exploration, and finding wild trout in some of the park's most beautiful waters. This is a true blue-lining experience that includes hiking, off-trail travel, stream crossings, and fishing remote waters.
