Tentative Itinerary

While we'll have a general plan for the week, part of the magic of Montana is the freedom to adapt based on river conditions, weather, wildlife sightings, and what the group is most excited about. Activities and fishing locations may change throughout the retreat.

Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome

Arrive in Missoula and travel to our private lodge in St. Regis. Settle in, meet fellow anglers, enjoy dinner together, and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2 – Guided Float Trip

Spend the day floating one of western Montana's scenic rivers with experienced guides. This is a great opportunity to learn local techniques, gain confidence on moving water, and experience some of Montana's legendary trout fishing.

Day 3 – Walk & Wade Fishing

Explore nearby rivers and streams on foot. Guides will help participants build on skills learned during the float trip while becoming more comfortable reading water, selecting flies, and fishing independently.

Day 4 – Adventure Day

Choose your own Montana adventure. Options may include:

  • Additional fishing opportunities

  • Hiking local trails

  • Whitewater rafting

  • Exploring the River Trail

  • Fishing for brook trout at Diamond Lake

  • Hiking from Diamond Lake to Cliff Lake

  • Exploring the St. Joe Road area

  • Visiting the Cabin City Trailhead

This flexible day allows everyone to experience Montana in a way that matches their interests and energy level.

Day 5 – Walk & Wade Fishing

Return to the water for another day of guided fishing, exploring new stretches of river and putting your skills into practice while enjoying Montana's incredible scenery.

Day 6 – Departure Day

Enjoy one final breakfast together before departing for Missoula Airport and traveling home with new friendships, memories, and plenty of Montana stories.

Please Note: This itinerary is intended as a general guide. Specific rivers, activities, and schedules may change based on weather, river conditions, guide recommendations, and group interests. We believe flexibility allows us to create the best possible experience for everyone.
